Josep Maria Mauri i Prior  was born in 21 October 1941 in Alzina de Moror, Pallars Jussà, Spain. He is a Catalan Catholic priest and the current personal representative of the episcopal Co-Prince of Andorra, Archbishop Joan Enric Vives Sicília.

He was ordained priest in 1965.

In 2010, he was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Urgell and Deputy of the then personal representative of the episcopal Co-Prince of Andorra, Nemesi Marqués Oste. On July 20, 2012 he was sworn into office as personal representative.

During the Friday morning, the episcopal co-prince, Joan-Enric Vives, received the credentials of ten new accredited ambassadors in Andorra at the Episcopal Palace of La Seu d’Urgell. The ceremony was attended by diplomats from countries all over the world, including three of Nordic countries – Iceland, Sweden and Norway -, two of Africans – Senegal and Mauritania -, Europeans Cyprus, Bulgaria and Latvia, Ambassador of Peru and that of Qatar. During the ceremony, the co-prince was accompanied by his representative in the Principality, Josep Maria Mauri, and by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gilbert Saboya.

Later, already in Andorra, the minister Saboya has held meetings with the various ambassadors. During the meetings, diplomats have handed over the copies of their style, a transcript of the credential cards that determine the assumption of their new duties.

  • Bassirou Sene, Ambassador of Senegal
  • Aichetou Mint M’haiham, Ambassador of Mauritania.
