Anastase Murekezi is a Rwandan politician. He studied in Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare (GSOB) and went on to Louvain-La-Neuve University in Belgium to study agriculture. He was the minister of Public service and labor until 23 July 2014 when he was nominated by President Paul Kagame as the Prime Minister of Rwanda.
Anastase Murekezi is also a member of the Leadership Council of Compact2025, a partnership that develops and disseminates evidence-based advice to politicians and other decision-makers aimed at ending hunger and undernutrition in the coming 10 years.
He replaced with Édouard Ngirente as the Prime Minister of Rwanda, since 30 August 2017, having been appointed by the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame
Édouard Ngirente was born in Rwanda in 1973. He studied at the National University of Rwanda, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics and statistics. He followed that with a master’s degree in economics from the same institution. He also holds a PhD in economics awarded by the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. For more click here
